About

Virginia is an award-winning actress working in film, television, voice, and theatre. She is based in Toronto, Canada.

Virginia has appeared as the lead in several feature length and short films, many of which have won awards through the international festival circuit. Most recently, short film Everything Changes won Best Short at San Diego Black Film Festival 2016.  Virginia won Best Actress for her performance in feature film Waiting for Summer at Hamilton Film Festival, and earned her first songwriting credit for collaboration on the theme song for this film. Television work has aired on APTN, Super Channel, Rogers on Demand, Women's Network, and the History Channel.

Virginia's  passion for storytelling takes her both in front of and behind the camera. She compliments the craft of acting with writing, and also enjoys playing music and songwriting.

Virginia began to study acting at Toronto Theatre Academy while earning her BA(Hon) with a specialist degree in semiotics and communication studies. An avid student, she has trained with E.V.N. Studios, Straeon Acting Studio, and most recently with on-going scene studies master class at Walter Alza Acting Studios. She is grateful for her mentors and colleagues, and loves being engaged in the creative process.

Kind Words

"Virginia has both the innate talent and the skill learned through experiences to churn out strong performances.  Her strong camera presence and her ability to bring the minute details and portray subtle emotions of the character sets her apart from the rest.  Virginia is very warm and friendly. The fact that she brought cookies and soups for the whole set distinctly vouches that she is a total team player.  On top of all this, her unwavering commitment to her craft is a manifestation of a seasoned professional. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Virginia. She is an asset to any director or producer."
