Virginia has appeared as the lead in several feature length and short films, many of which have won awards through the international festival circuit. Most recently, short film Everything Changes won Best Short at San Diego Black Film Festival 2016. Virginia won Best Actress for her performance in feature film Waiting for Summer at Hamilton Film Festival, and earned her first songwriting credit for collaboration on the theme song for this film. Television work has aired on APTN, Super Channel, Rogers on Demand, Women's Network, and the History Channel.
Virginia's passion for storytelling takes her both in front of and behind the camera. She compliments the craft of acting with writing, and also enjoys playing music and songwriting.
Virginia began to study acting at Toronto Theatre Academy while earning her BA(Hon) with a specialist degree in semiotics and communication studies. An avid student, she has trained with E.V.N. She is grateful for her mentors and colleagues, and loves being engaged in the creative process.
